Find Inspiration for Your Addiction Recovery in Colorado

Of course, if you want badly enough to beat your addiction you can do it anywhere, but the right location can make a big difference. A fresh location where healthy living is a priority and there are countless opportunities for exercise is a big plus. Also look for a location that has shops within walking distance, meetings aplenty for either fellowship, and resources available for a wide range of personal and professional needs.

Choosing a great location in early sobriety can be a game changer in long term results. The right location will offer stability, community, safety. These are all cornerstones in a solid foundation for long-term sobriety. Removing yourself from triggering locations and potential distractions or even old harmful contacts can have a positive long-lasting impact on your road to recovery.

How to Build Long Term Recovery from Addiction

Building long-term sobriety begins with admitting you have a problem that you cannot solve alone. Your recovery begins when you accept help willingly and start following a program instead of letting your self-will run the show. From there, it’s about personal growth and developing routines and structure that will support and reinforce your recovery.

1. Admit you have a problem, and be willing to accept all the help you can get

2. Cultivate a support network (this begins at Recover Colorado)

3. Build structured daily routines

4. Develop healthy coping mechanisms and new healthy habits

Recover = Admit, Accept and Overcome

Admitting you have a problem is the first step in solving any problem—addiction included. Recognizing addiction is a chronic disease and accepting help from a drug and alcohol treatment center is next. Beginning with a medical detox at one of our trusted partner facilities gives you the clear mind and healthier body to move forward in recovery.

The next step is where the rubber meets the road. The work of overcoming addiction happens in individual and group therapy, AA and NA meetings and even in conversation with sober friends and sponsors. Recover Colorado is here every step of the way with evidence-based addiction care, and the robust support you need to build lasting recovery.

You Have Options With Recover Colorado

Recover Colorado has several levels of care available to help at any point in your journey.

Partial Hospitalization Program (PHP)

PHP is an intensive, structured outpatient treatment option that bridges the gap between inpatient care and traditional outpatient therapy. Most often, patients attend therapy sessions 4-6 hours per day, 5 days a week and are able to return home each night. Typically, a day includes a mix of group therapy, individual counseling, psychoeducation and skills modeling. They are often supported by medication management (we are big proponents of MAT), and many different outlets of therapies.

Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP)

IOP is also a structured, though part-time treatment option for those individuals recovering from substance use and/or mental health issues. This phase typically involves 3-4 sessions per week each lasting 2-4 hours. This allows patients to have freedom to work yet still remain focused on their recovery. It focuses on many of the same modalities as PHP, which is more flexible to include other aspects of life such as raising your family or attending school. Group and individual therapy are a staple as well as a heavy focus on relapse prevention and life skills.

Sober Living

The Sober living environment is carefully cultivated to provide safety and support for those residing there. Sober living provides a stable, structured and most importantly substance free housing for those individuals transitioning from other levels of care into everyday life. Residents are expected to follow the house rules, have curfews and chores, house meetings and are required to attend AA/NA meetings. There are regular drug screenings administered to keep all those living there accountable. This is an option for anyone who is not able or allowed to return to their previous residence.
